We analyzed data from a network of 7 long-term care homes in New Brunswick that were locked down during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic but did not have any COVID-19 outbreaks. This network of homes meets regularly to discuss quality indicators in a community of practice model. They put strategies in place to mitigate the effects of lockdown on resident’s mental health. We found that in these homes the effect of lockdown was not significant on depression, delirium, and behavioural problems.
