CARES-D Course
This initiative aims to bridge that gap by developing a comprehensive, research-based training program that equips rehabilitation providers with the knowledge and skills to deliver personalized, dementia-inclusive care. Through this project, we are committed to empowering rehabilitation providers to offer more effective care, ultimately enhancing the quality of life and independence of individuals living with dementia.

Dementia Moves
This project provided an individually tailored multicomponent group exercise program with an aerobic warm-up and a focus on moderate to high-intensity functional balance and strength training for residents in long-term care living with dementia. The Dementia Moves intervention was designed to provide access to programming that helps prevent functional decline.

Mental Health Connections Pilot
This pilot project aimed to foster hope and positive change in the mental well-being of older adults living in congregate settings or at home alone. Occupational therapy students were matched with isolated older adults experiencing depression or anxiety to help them thrive.

Diversity Exchange
This project aimed to enhance teaching and learning by integrating anti-racist and anti-oppressive pedagogy. We developed an online library of high-quality stock photos and videos depicting therapists and patients from diverse backgrounds engaged in healthcare-related activities.
